Music Education Resource Team (MERT)
The MERT is dedicated to ensuring that Velvet Hills sounds as good as they possibly can. Everyone on this team, including the Director, who oversees the team, is responsible for all musical aspects of each Velvet Hills Show Chorus performance.

Management Team
The Velvet Hills Chorus is run by its members. It functions under the Bylaws of Sweet Adelines International and the Velvet Hills Chorus Standing Rules and written and approved by the members.
Six members are elected, and two members are appointed to serve on the Management Team, which oversees the functional aspects of the organization. Members volunteer to serve on committees to support the Management Team.
The Management Team typically meets once a month. The team develops long-range plans based on the goals and values of the chapter membership. They assist, oversee and evaluate the implementation of plans and actions of the associated committees or sub-teams working with that team member. Most importantly, the team is responsible for fostering and ensuring open and frequent communications at all levels of the chapter.
